Who We Are
The Badge of Honor Memorial Foundation a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that is the national advocacy group for the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, providing oversight and guidance in obtaining all the Federal and State Statutory benefits the survivors are entitled to, and leads the way in casualty planning awareness and training to ensure that departments everywhere are prepared in advance of an officers death.
What We Do
First we help the families of law enforcement officers with guidance in obtaining all the Federal and State Statutory benefits the survivors are entitled to. Our Casualty Planning Guide helps departments go through this process with the families and insure they fill out all the necessary paperwork; we are also there for questions and guidance through this to insure that no one is left without. Second we train in casualty planning awareness to ensure that departments everywhere are prepared in advance of an officer's death, this is really where our 64 page guide comes into play in helping departments get prepared before an occurrence happens; this guide is also available on our website free of charge to anyone who needs it. Third we memorialize the officer with a beautiful museum quality statue for the survivors to have free of charge.
What We Need
Please help assist us in our three programs by making donations to our cause. Our training program is ever growing and we can always use your support to make sure we can help departments be prepared before an incident happens. It is also timely to make sure every department who loses an officer is reached so that we can insure they know we are here to help them during this tragic and often crazy time. And last our beautiful statue that memorializes the last love one forever; with an average of 150 officers killed each year this becomes quite expensive fast.
